ARMOR asia reaches 1,000 days without an injury

At a manufacturing plant that employs close to 100 workers and produces around 22,000 rolls of thermal transfer ribbon a day, it seems quite unlikely that operations could take place for too long without someone being injured. Despite this low likelihood of absolute safety, ARMOR ASIA has gone 1,000 days without a single injury reported.

Safety is of the utmost importance to the ARMOR family, and that’s why there is a long list of precautions and protocols being followed by every employee, contractor, supplier or visitors while on the plant. Tools like daily self-inspection checklists, workplace communication guidelines, and daily operational reviews all contribute to smooth and safe plant functioning. With employees and machines working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, these items are crucial to prevent any bodily harm that may occur.

It’s obvious that large machinery can be dangerous if used improperly, so ARMOR ASIA has also taken measures to ensure safety pertaining to the handling of their machines.
Measures like:

1. Installing blue lights on forklifts to warn others
2. Reducing the speed of forklifts and stackers
3. Installing safety mats where necessary
4. Creating laser scanners and safety doors for robotic slitters
5. Installation of light curtains for each machine to guarantee maximum safety conditions.

All of their machinery and equipment has also been upgraded with top notch safety devices in order to ensure the highest safety standards.

Armor Asia is also proud to have successfully implemented a safety culture in the company that places a high level of importance on safety beliefs, values and attitudes and to have these being shared by the entire team with each individual contributing diligently to minimize the risks of accidents happening at the workplace.

Although this accomplishment is a great one, ARMOR ASIA has their sights on a bigger goal. They plan on reaching 2,000 days without an injury, and with the steps they’re taking every day, their aspirations are anything but far-fetched.
