Beyond Sustainable Development

Corporate Social Responsibility of ARMOR

Social Innovation, an ambitious choice

ARMOR : Industry for People

The commitment of ARMOR to Social Innovation goes far beyond a vague but well-intentioned action plan designed to assuage the conscience through activities associated with the issue of Sustainable Development. It is primarily a strategic decision that permeates our businesses:

Protecting people and property through product traceability

Reducing the environmental footprint of printing by offering ingenious and responsible consumables

Providing solar energy to a maximum number of people via third generation photovoltaic films

Increasing the safety, performance and lifespan of batteries with En’ Safe current collectors

ARMOR provides solutions for the challenges currently faced by society:

Social Innovation guides our diversification strategy: investments in new activities associated with clean energy... based on ARMOR's historic expertise (coating technologies).

Socially Responsible Innovation guides our customer product ranges: the all-in-one "OWA" range is a good example of this, offering a complete range of office printing consumables, full product recycling and the monitoring of the associated carbon footprint.

And finally, Socially Responsible Innovation manifests itself on a day-to-day basis in all of our activities: in the AICP business, the Decaplan programme guides all operational decisions at the production site which serves the Thermal Transfer requirements of all of our markets worldwide.

By placing Social Innovation at the heart of its strategy, ARMOR invests to protect its long-term interests and those of its customers, employees and investor partners... and to some extent, future generations.

Social Innovation at the heart of AICP activities

ARMOR is conscious of the scale of the issues and has structured its Socially Responsible Innovation policy around three main themes:

  • Economical,

  • Environmental,

  • Social

By ensuring that all activities related to any one of the themes also comply with the commitments made in the other two areas.

The commitments made by the ARMOR are supported by a programme entitled Décaplan :

Launched in 2008, this programme is a 10-theme plan structured around sustainable development:

Social life

  • Improve employees' working and living conditions,

  • Establish an attractive employment package through dialogue,

  • Develop a safe working environment,

  • Fight discrimination and promote diversity,

  • Identify and promote expertise internally.
